Aims
  • Promote education and public awareness about crime and criminal justice issues that impact on development and cross-border relations;

  • Facilitate the sharing of expertise and cross-pollination of ideas and good practices on crime prevention; 

  • Continuously develop a set of critical capabilities for national, regional and international leadership in the area;

  • Generate income and funding in support of the cluster’s research agenda; and

  • Form strategic partnerships to encourage active collaboration towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 16 and ensure the wider impact of the cluster’s research initiatives.

           Member Benefits  

Members of CPOM have opportunities to:

  • Contribute to the fulfilment of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 16, a global target dedicated to “the promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, the provision of access to justice for all, and building effective, accountable institutions at all levels, ” through research;

  • Increase accessibility to research on offender management;  

  • Engage in public debate on transnational crime control and threats to public security;

  • Connect with researchers in their area of expertise through attending seminars and conferences held at SALISES; and

  • Contribute to CPOM-led research projects.
